Representing Zuckerman Spaeder clients for more than a decade, Scott A. Hanna is a staff attorney in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office.

Scott’s practice focuses on complex civil litigation, a background which includes representation of Underwriters at Lloyd’s of London in multi-state litigation brought by lead paint manufacturers seeking coverage in response to more than 30 underlying public nuisance cases filed by states and municipalities. 

Scott has experience in motions practice, writing dispositive motions in domestic relations and insurance coverage matters as well as motions in limine in business fraud and bankruptcy matters. He has also provided legal advice to pharmaceutical, medical device, and cosmetics clients in various FDA regulatory matters—such as due diligences of target corporations prior to acquisition, label and labeling requirements, and patent exclusivity. 

Most recently, Scott’s pro bono commitments have led him to counsel a newly incorporated non-profit dedicated to raising funds for underprivileged District of Columbia schoolchildren.
