Zuckerman Spaeder LLP Receives Outstanding Achievement Award from Washington Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights and Urban Affairs
Zuckerman Spaeder LLP received an Outstanding Achievement Award from the Washington Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights and Urban Affairs. Partner Caroline E. Reynolds and associate Steven N. Herman accepted the award on behalf of the firm at the Wiley A. Branton Awards Luncheon. This award is “presented each year to a select number of firms for exceptional work with the Washington Lawyers’ Committee for the previous year.” The firm received this award in recognition of the collaborative effort between Zuckerman Spaeder and the Washington Lawyers’ Committee in successfully representing a pro bono client in litigation under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). The representation not only resulted in a positive outcome for the client, it also advanced the goals of the Washington Lawyers’ Committee’s Equal Employment Opportunity Project’s efforts to eliminate violations of the FMLA and, in turn, to protect the employment rights of members of protected groups.
