Jon R. Fetterolf Joins Zuckerman Spaeder LLP

Zuckerman Spaeder LLP is pleased to announce that Jon R. Fetterolf has joined the firm’s Washington, DC office as partner. Mr. Fetterolf, who comes to the firm from Williams & Connolly LLP where he was a partner for the last six years, brings more than a decade of experience in complex white collar defense and civil litigation. Mr. Fetterolf also has an established sports practice representing professional baseball players, coaches, and agents.

Mr. Fetterolf has represented companies and individuals under investigation for price fixing, bribery, money laundering, and other varieties of financial fraud, including tax, securities, accounting, and government contract fraud. He also has extensive experience conducting corporate internal investigations relating to possible violations of the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), and has represented clients in parallel civil proceedings, including investigations by the Securities and Exchange Commission, congressional committees, and various other state and federal regulators. In his commercial litigation practice, Mr. Fetterolf has extensive experience defending companies and individuals in a variety of different areas, including particular experience in antitrust litigation. 

Mr. Fetterolf also maintains an active sports law practice. He is a certified agent with the Major League Baseball Players Association, and has represented athletes in contract negotiations, salary arbitrations, and free agency; represented players appearing before congressional committees; represented players under investigation by Major League Baseball; and advised players and their families involved in the Major League Baseball amateur draft. Mr. Fetterolf also represents agents and players in fee disputes, disciplinary proceedings, salary arbitration, and other sports-related litigation.

Prior to joining Williams & Connolly, Mr. Fetterolf served as a law clerk for the Hon. Pamela A. Rymer of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, as well as the Hon. Edmund V. Ludwig of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. He is a cum laude graduate of the University of Michigan Law School.
