The Daily Record Names Adam Abelson a 2017 Generation J.D. Honoree

Zuckerman Spaeder LLP is pleased to announce that The Daily Record has named Adam Abelson, an associate in the firm’s Baltimore office, a 2017 Generation J.D. honoree. The recognition is part of The Daily Record’s Leadership in Law Awards, and honors up-and-coming legal professionals who are already making a difference in the industry and in their communities.

“This recognition is richly deserved, and we are proud to have Adam practicing at the firm,” said Zuckerman Spaeder Baltimore Managing Partner Martin Himeles, Jr. “Everyone who works with Adam quickly recognizes his talent and intellect, as well as his commitment to clients. He has made a tremendous impact not only on the firm and its clients, but also on the community through his pro bono work on behalf of underserved members of the community.”

Adam joined Zuckerman Spaeder in 2012 and represents clients in complex civil litigation, white collar criminal defense, and government investigations. His criminal defense focus includes alleged complex financial, securities, and health care fraud, and his civil litigation focus includes securities enforcement, health care, legal malpractice, and trade secrets. He has played a key role on several important cases, including most recently cases related to NFL head injuries, access to mental health treatment, and insider trading. An active member of the local community, Adam is a member of the Board of Directors of the Job Opportunities Task Force, and of the Public Justice Center’s Lawyer’s Alliance.

“Leadership in Law honorees demonstrate daily how important community service and mentoring are to the legal profession,” said Suzanne Fischer-Huettner, publisher of The Daily Record. “Their leadership in communities throughout Maryland makes a difference in the lives of so many. They work tirelessly to uphold the highest legal standards. The Daily Record is pleased to celebrate their accomplishments.”

The 2017 Leadership in Law Awards will be presented May 11 at a reception starting at 5:30 p.m. at the BWI Hilton.
